Six word stories

If you’re unfamiliar with this type of story, Imgur had a great post here that you can check out. Below are some of my own. Many thanks to Rose Craig, my beautiful, wild gypsy friend for urging me to participate with her. Neither mine nor her six word stories appear in the Imgur content above, but it is a fantastic process to stretch your creative limits in the most minimal way possible. For the record, the famous “six word story” that started it all was: “For sale: baby shoes, never worn.”

“I am your mother, not sister.”

“I felt your soul crumble weightlessly.”

“Great waves. Walls buckled. Bones scattered.”

“I heard the sirens in time.”

“You whispered. Dead for five years.”

“I love you. You are silent.”

“Calloused hands touch fragile children’s bones.”

“Your hope is my elation, son.”

“Elegant birth. Desire. Flesh to earth.”
